Day 01: Kottayam |
You have landed in “God’s own Country”. Unlike any other country in the world this city is famous for the 3 L’s i.e. Land of Latex , Letters & Lakes. On the first day of Kumarakom Super Saver Combo Itinerary, arrive at Railway Station where our representative meets you and transfers you to our hotel in Kottayam on SIC basis. You will be received at the reception by our Front office manager & will be greeted with the welcome drink. Rest of the day is free for you to relax before joining your traveling companions for dinner. Over night at the hotel. |
| Day 02: Kottayam

After breakfast make a move for the boat jetty were from you start your enchanting backwater tour through the countryside .After 50 mints of sail through backwater enter yourself into the Vembanad Lake which is Asia’s one of the biggest lakes with 220 sq kms connected with Arabian Sea. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is only bird sanctuary in the world which is located below sea level where many varieties of migratory birds can be seen like Siberian stork egret, darter, heron, teal & many other common varieties like different varieties of kingfisher, wood peckers, Skylark, parrots etc. During lunch time the boat will be anchored by the banks of kuttannad where you can enjoy the deepest delicacy of kerala country side foods along with toddy (fermented liquor from coconut tree). After the lunch sail back through the backwaters and witness the below sea level cultivation and enjoy the beauty of the serene waterways and quaint inlets and creeks along the coast & return to hotel for Dinner and over night stay. |

Kottayam – Cochin |
After an early breakfast check-out from the hotel & proceed for a Kottayam city tour. Kottayam came into limelight when it was declared the first fully literate municipal town of India, an event that triggered a mass movement to make Kerala the country’s only state to achieve total literacy. Kottayam is also the birthplace of the state’s publishing industry, and is home to a number of globally renowned newspapers and magazines including Malayalam Manorama ( India ’s largest circulated daily), The Week, Mathrubhumi, and Deepika .This city is also well known for some of its very ancient Temples , churches & Mosque . Check in at the hotel in Kochi for an overnight stay. |
